How was your Valentines Day? Gloria had a card for me, but was sooooo embarrassed to admit that she had forgotten where she put it. Who could wonder why she may have forgotten when we consider all she does in a given day. She's usually up before 5:00 a.m. and doesn't get to bed until after 9:00 or 10:00 o'clock at night. And she's going all the time. After school yesterday, Valentines Day, she made a quick trip to the store for some food items, rushed home and prepared a meal for an elderly sister in the ward, delivered the meal and stayed to visit with her for about an hour, then came back home to warm up the meal portion she had made for us. She is so thoughtful of others.
I made a card for her for the special day with a small verse that said: "I may not be a rich man, but I'm certainly not a poor man. I consider myself most blessed, because I'm simply your man".
To top the day off, Gloria spent valuable sleep time having to nurse and doctor me. I've had a head cold for about a week. Yesterday afternoon and into the evening, I started coughing and trying to clear out my sinuses and chest. I started wheezing so she made me a mustard-plaster and then tended me until I was finally able to settle down, after taking some Musenix. By then it was close to midnight. I started to take an antibiotic this morning, so I hope it will help me get over this threat.
James and his youngest daughter, Sara, are planning to spend the weekend with us starting tomorrow, Friday. Stephanie and Laura are going to Washington State to attend the baptism of Stephanie's nephew. Sara said she would rather come and see Grandma and Grandpa instead. We're not sure yet if baby Bradley will go with his mom or come here with James and Sara. But, of course, we definately know what Gloria would prefer. She does love the grandchildren, especially the two most recent ones.
Well, I better get going. I have a number of phone calls to make and some reading to do. I hope all is well with all those reading this message , as well as with those who are not. Have a great day.
Love, Roger
