We're back home again, after spending July 4th-8th in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, attending the Freeman and Gladys Williams Family Reunion. One hundred and eighty some-odd individuals were counted as having "appeared" at one time or another during the four-day get-together.
It was "Hot, Hot, Hot!", but it was loads of fun. The water slide was a great hit again this year, especially for the youngsters. There ended up being a few bumps and bruises, along with some sunburned noses and ears, but it was great fun. The food was plentiful and delicious. The dance on Saturday night was a hoot, and the Sacrament Meeting Program on Sunday morning was provided by the Williams Family. There was a baptism in the Snake River for Enoch Williams, Mahonri's son, on Friday and the confirmation on Sunday by Mahonri and assisted by the older uncles in the extended family.
The reunion was a first for Denise Perrin Nelson's new husband, Eric. In addition, Laura Kennington, sister-in-law to John Malmstrom came as a guest of the Malmstrom Family.
Aunt Christine was home for the occasion. She will be able to remain at home until August 9, when she will return to Montana for further therapy. She is progressing wonderfully. She is now able to move both legs and arms. She is even able to stand with some assistance and to take a few steps while supporting herself on walking bars. She looks great and has a tremendous spirit about her. She is doing fantastic things.
This coming weekend, on Saturday, July 14th, we will attend the Allen Jr. and Lula Taylor Family Reunion at Spanish Fork. It's much shorter in duration, only one day. We're hoping to have representatives from all of the living siblings in the Taylor Family. And perhaps we will have members of each of the Malmstrom siblings in attendance as well. We hope so.
That's about it for now. Have a great day and week.
