It's Wednesday, and all is well.

Well, here it is another Wednesday; March 5th to be exact. Uncle Gary was supposed to have a surgical procedure performed today at the hospital in Orem. He telephoned us last evening and spent about 45 minutes talking about a number of topics from politics to food storage and temple work. He's quite the guy. We told him we had assumed it was all going to take place on Monday and that we had been fasting and praying for him over the weekend. He thanked us and said he appreciated it. He didn't seem too concerned about it all even though he had not received any word from hospital personnel informing him what he was to do to prepare for today other than what time to be at the hospital. That seemed somewhat strange to us. We asked him to have Katie or Mary call us with information on how it went. No word yet.
We changed from Dish Network to DirecTv yesterday. We , or should we say, Roger, wanted to change because they will be carrying the MTN channel this year, which broadcasts the Mountain West Conference sports programs, especially football (Utah, BYU, UNLV, etc.). They guarantee that it will be up and going no later than September 1. So, we're hoping it happens as planned. One bad thing about the change is that we will no longer pick up the Hallmark Movie Channel. We'll still get the regular Hallmark Channel, however.
We got an email from Sarah today reminding us that she has the family newsletter this month and that she'll need all the input by the 15th of the month. We'd better get with it and get them turned in.
Roger has been in contact with Uncle Arland's ex-wife, Diane, and daughters in California. They have indicated an interest in establishing contact with members of our family and extended family. They are even speaking of trying to make it to the Taylor Family Reunion in July. It would be nice to get to see them again. It's only been close to 40 years since the left Utah and went to California.
Melanie, thanks again for your contribution to the Malmstrom Clan Blog. Now you just need to settle down and create a "Merrell Family Blog". Then we'll be able to see and hear a lot more about that new addition when he arrives in April.
The snow in the back yard is practically all melted. Not so, however, for the front. We need to put some deicer granules on the front steps and walk so the frozen snow and ice will melt faster. We cannot afford to have someone fall and get hurt because we haven't cleared it off yet. We can have the Richardson's come back now and do the repair work above the bay window. There's always something that has to be repaired or replaced. We also need a new vacuum cleaner. Will it ever end? Oh well, we should count our blessings more and not complain about a bump in the road now and then. Right?

We'll sign off for now. Love you all. Cheerio!! Mom and Dad M.

It's good hear all the updates. It is taking along time to get our snow melted. Do you have any grass in the backyard? We can't wait to come and visit.
Love Mary
