When I looked out my window at the crack of dawn
I saw pop corn scattered all across my lawn.
Mother Nature had brought me such a sweet surprise;
Loads of pop corn was scattered right before my eyes.
I could take a hand full and make a treat,
A pop corn ball that would taste so sweet.
But it wasn't so 'cause it was really snow
And now I have to wipe it off from beneath my feet!
We were beginning to think that Winter was about over here in Price. But, you just can't take things for granted these days, especially when it comes to the weather. The days have been getting warmer, the snow is pretty well melted (except for the shady spots on the north side of the house), and some green shoots are beginning to poke out of the grassy areas. But, we won't be out of the woods for a while yet. Just when we start thinking Spring is here, we'll probably get a late frost and we'll lose the blossoms on our apricot and apple trees. If we get some really warm days soon, we made end up having floods from the rapid runoff. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to take things the way they come, one day at a time.
We'll be heading to Star, Idaho this week. We have Easter weekend next week starting at noon on Wednesday. However, Gloria will take that morning off because we plan on spending Tuesday night at John and Sarah's house and then heading for Idaho on Wednesday morning. That will make it a little easier for me, with travel time, that is. We'll stay in Star to spend time with Michelle and her new "bambina", if she has it while we are there, of course.
We'll probably see everyone but Macy and Nate either going or coming from our trip. So, until then, we'll just say, "Adios, muchachos!"
