News from Star, Idaho

Today is Monday, March 24th. I'm sitting at the Warner Family computer updating our blog. Gloria and I drove from Price, to American Fork on Tuesday, the 18th after school was out. We delivered a few things to Melanie and her family and then drove to John and Sarah's house in Holladay (sp). We spent the night with them and had a blast with Audrie. What a precious little girl she is.
On Wednesday, we left John and Sarah's about 9:30 a.m. We stopped at ZIM'S Craft store next to the I-15 freeway for a few items Gloria wanted to get while we were in SLC. We then headed for James' house to stop and see them and leave a few things for the children. We got as far as Bountiful and remembered that we had forgotten our clothing at John's so we had to turn around and head back to retreave them. We called Mary and told her what had happened because we also planned on driving up to her home in Logan to see them and leave some things there as well. We couldn't reach James' home because no one answered the phone. We wanted to tell them that we planned on stopping. So, we called James at his office in Salt Lake just off the 600 North off ramp of I-15. We caught him just before he was to leave to go to another building to work. We were able to visit with him and leave the things for the children that we were planning to leave at their home. We had a good, but short, visit with him just outside his office building near his truck.
We then headed for logan. We arrived there about an hour before Alicia and Canyon came home from school. We left some things there and had a visit with Mary, including a haircut for Gloria, before continuing our journey north.
From Logan, we drove straight to Star, Idaho. We had prepared a map and directions from the GoogleEarth website so we were pretty well able to drive right to their home, even though it was dark when we got into Star City. At one point, we had to turn around and backtrack for about a mile because we couldn't see the name of the street we were supposed to turn left on. We had a bunch of cars behind us and we didn't want to disrupt traffic at a moment's notice. We drove forward for a bit, made a U-turn, came back, turned on the street we had missed, and then just followed the written directions to the Warner's house. They were all up and waiting for us. Me made it!!
Michelle's doctor had planned on having Michelle induced if the baby would have turned, it was in breach position, or performing a C section like he did with Anna on Thursday, the 20th. But, Thursday was a busy day for Aaron and so he had the doctor change his plan to Friday, the 21st. On Friday morning, Aaron and Michelle were at the hospital by 9:00 a.m., and the doctor performed the C section around noon. The procedure went like clockwork and, "Tut, tuda, da! Here's
Elizabeth!"
We went to church on Sunday, Easter Sunday, and Aaron was able to bring Michelle and Elizabeth home around 1:00 p.m. We had a delicious turkey dinner, compliments of Gloria. Then we just relaxed, took pictures, and enjoyed the rest of the Sabbath day.
