Saturday Evening Post

It's 6:30 p.m. and we are about to have dinner. James arrived here from Cedar City at about 9:45 last night. He was there attending a class that he is enrolled in that meets every Friday afternoon from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. He dropped Stephanie and Laura off at the SLC airport at 6:00 a.m. and then came on down to Price with Sara and baby Bradley. They arrived at about 8:10 and he was on his way south by 9:30. Sara and Bradley spent the day with grandma and grandpa. Gloria took the day off so she cold tend the little one and I "helped" by entertaining Sara while she dived into the Barbie dolls and other odds and ends toys. Things went fine all day. James was pretty tired by the time he got back. And so was Gloria. Bradley slept most of the night and awoke early this morning to eat.

The day was spent just relaxing. Sara has been content to watch a little TV and continued entertaining herself with the dolls, coloring books, and listening to her dad tell stories. They were planning to go to the park but it got a little chilly outside and plans were changed. Gloria attended two separate baptismal services: one for an exchange student in high school from the far east who lives with a single widow in our ward, and the other for an eight year old boy and his convert mother. The husband to the convert woman and her son is a member but has been inactive for a number of years.

I have been wanting to be able to use a DVD player/burner that I installed onto my computer last summer, but I bought it used and found out I needed a decoder for it that didn't come with it. So, James helped me find a program that hopefully will help me use the DVD like I wanted to from the start. It is in the process of being downloaded and because I have a slower modem it will probably take until 10:00 before it finishes. If anyone has been trying to call us they will only get a busy signal because I don't have DSL yet and have to rely in dialup until the first part of March. Sorry for the inconvenience to anywone trying to call.

Bradley has had some coughing spells today so Gloria has put the humidifier by him in the living room. He's been really good while he's been here. He does let us know, however, when he is hungry and wants to eat. I think everyone will have a good nights sleep tonight.

Out guests will be leaving for home tomorrow afternoon. We have church from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. So, by the time we come home and have something to eat, it will be close to 5:00. James wants to stop and visit with Melanie and her family before they head for home. He plans on meeting Stepanie and Laura at the airport on Monday but I'm not sure when.

That's about it for today. I''ll sign off until next time. Adios for now.

Sinceramente, Roger
